"Dance of Vanth" Gola Hundun

The Dance of Vanth is the artwork created by Gola Hundun during his artist residency at Il Grumolo for CARMI.CO – Carmignano Contemporanea 2026.
Inspired by the Etruscan deity Vanth, the work explores passage and the connection between earth and sky, past and present, human and non-human life.
Conceived as an inhabitable sculpture, it welcomes birds, insects and other forms of life, transforming into a small ecosystem.
It emerges from a dialogue with the landscape of Il Grumolo, where agriculture, nature and Etruscan memory have coexisted for thousands of years.
A living artwork that invites us not to see ourselves as spectators of nature, but as part of a community of living beings.
